PROJECTS:
Did you know?
It takes
8,577 buckets of water per day to irrigate 1 acre of
land which will feed up to 20 people annually per acre, based on US daily caloric intake. By
installing irrigation systems, we can eliminate thousands and thousands of
man hours and begin feeding the masses.
Irrigation
without Borders is currently working on
three
different projects equaling 260 acres which will enable 5200
people to be fed on an annual basis. The yearly cost per
person comes to $9.62, (not including seed, labor, fertilizer
and maintenance). The income stream these crops
produce however, will offset these costs. Without
Irrigation, these 260 acres would require 2,230,020
buckets of water every single day.
