H.A.I.T.I (Haitian
Agriculture Irrigation
Technology Initiative)
We are proud to announce that we will be
putting in our first irrigation system in Haiti at the
beginning of 2012.
The 3 projects that Camp
H.A.I.T.I. is focusing on are:
1.
70 to 100 acres located outside of Port-a
Prince, partnering with Harvest for Hope.
Pastor Martin
Hawley in the US and Pastor Jean Paul in Haiti.
2.
Two 50 to 70 acre sites located in NE Haiti, near Acul
Samedi & Phaeton, outside the city
of Cap Haitian.
Partnering with Pastor Oris Guillaume from Haiti.
3.
25 to 50 acre site located in Leogane, near the Port-a Prince
and Dominican Republic borders.
Partnering with Pastor Charlie DeTellis in Haiti.
Why an Irrigation Project?
In Haiti, when seeds are planted in the ground for food, many
times they can only be watered with buckets of water that
are carried for several miles. This might work to
feed a family, however; it will not feed the masses.
Synergizing water supply analysis with
proper irrigation
design and installation techniques can exponentially
increase crop yields. Properly designed and installed
irrigation systems can save thousands and thousands of man
hours. Our irrigation experts will not be installing the
irrigation for these projects but instead, we procure the
materials and then educate and train the locals to install
it themselves. The local people will learn to follow our
irrigation design and become proficient in installation as
well as repair.
Help us help them to “Water their World”
by volunteering or simply donate! By donating to Irrigation without
Borders you will be helping more than one person, you will
be helping an entire community.
If you can’t do either, then
please just pray for us.
Irrigation without Borders
is a faith based, non-denominational 501(C)3 Non-Profit
Organization. 100% of your
tax deductible donation will go towards our
Camp H.A.I.T.I.
Projects. So please donate today.
